I thought I would start with the title as it seems a particularly apropos place to start is the title, “Pain and Perserverance.” As always, there is an amusing story of how it was given. A friend of mine from my previous workplace decided to give everyone the title of their autobiographies. This was mine. A friend had, “Oh I Fucking Know,” which was much more amusing, but this current title actually works. It describes my chosen sport of cycling quite well, I mean, what is not cycling but pain and perseverance?
