Performancing Bought!
PayPerPost, pioneer of blog advertising has just announced that they have purchased performancing. This consists of Performancing, which is a plug in for Mozilla Firefox which allows you to write blog posts from within Firefox wherever you are surfing. It also includes Performancing Metrics, which is a stats program that will let you get statistics about your website. And finally Performancing Exchange, a classifieds system of sorts. I used to use Performancing quite a bit. If you looked back in my archives, you can see that I wrote quite a large number of posts using performancing. It worked well, but I felt that you really need a large desktop resolution to fully take advantage of it. You need the screen space to write well and to look at the webpage you were writing about, I thought. It was also an annoyance how it would insert a link to performancing at the end of each blog post. Sure you could remove it later from the posts by going to your blog, but I’d have liked to have seen an option to change it. But I can also see why they did not put an option in because it is advertising the tool needed.
