Oh NO! Not Fake Syrup!
So the Governor of Vermont on a recent trip to Iraq was upset that they didn’t get real Vermont Maple Syrup, and that they had to eat the swill that is synthetics with their pancakes in the morning.
There is an actual charity that exists where people donate to send our troops real Vermont Maple Syrup. Because getting body armor isn’t MORE important.
Vermont Maple Syrup isn’t cheap though. It goes for about 40 dollars a gallon. It takes four grown up maple trees six weeks to make a gallon of syrup. Those four trees put out ten gallons of sap each, which is then reduced to make one gallon of syrup. Plus there’s stringent laws on the process. Yes, there’s actual laws. The only state in the union that has laws on the production of Maple Syrup. No, that’s not a complete waste of time either.
