Good Television?
As most of you may know, I don’t watch much in the way of television. But I’ve been downloading some select shows off of the internet. I’ve finally caught up on old episodes, and I have to wait for new ones when the new season starts like other mere mortals. This is where July 15th comes in. July 15th appears to be some sort of television science fiction alignment. In a single night, we have the season 9 premiere of Stargate SG-1, the season 2 premiere of Stargate Atlantis, and the season 2 premiere of Battlestar Galactica. I’m a huge fan of the two Stargate series thanks to Jesus, but I’m afraid of what the new seasons have in store. I’ve heard that Richard Dean Anderson won’t be on SG-1 as much anymore, and that Amanda Tapping won’t be playing a large role at all either. That and Atlantis will have some shakings up as well. I understand the need to change things but I really hope that they don’t change too many things. SG-1 was mediocre until the very end of the 7th season when they just kicked it into high gear. The first season of Atlantis was just stellar. Anyhow, we’ve about 16 days till we find out how things go anyhow, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
The good news is that even though the festivities start at 7pm EST, they loop once afterwards and start again at 11pm EST, so I don’t have to call out of work or anything. Yes, I’m that big of a geek that I’d request a day off so I could watch these on TV if they interfered with my schedule.
