Surprise Much?
There’s been a hubbub in the news lately about one, Luis Posada Carilles. The big issue is that he was a terrorist back in the 70s. Only difference here was that he was one that was attemping to overthrow Castro over in Cuba, among other things.
Now, he’s requesting asylum in the US, over the protest of various countries in South America such as Venezuela, who are still pissed because he blew up a Cuban Airliner. (I know it was an airliner, and I am fairly sure it was Cuban. I may be wrong.) The current administration has a zero tolerance policy for terrorists, but it seems unlikely that Mr. Posada will be extradited, and that he will indeed receive asylum. The reason why? Even though he was a terrorist, he only killed brown people. We all know that if he had killed white people, his ass would already be on a plane headed south.
