1776
I purchased 1776 by David McCullough today and I’m about halfway through it. It’s a history book written about George Washington’s Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. I purchased the book because I had heard rather good things about it, and the era is one that I’m not entirely familiar with. The most interesting part of the book so far is how it covers how George Washington and King George III were as people. We know so much about their deeds, but precious little of the people. Also, is how it covers stories that aren’t really known by the general public. We all know of Washington’s historic crossing of the Delaware, but damned little about the siege of Boston, and their defeat in New York.
It’s a great read so far, and once I finish, you can buy the book from my Half.com store. :P
