Doing The Right Thing
So if you’ve been reading all of the requisite geek news sites, you’ll have noticed that Nintendo has recently sued a site called Suicide Girls because one of their members listed in their profile that they liked such Nintendo games, such as Metroid and Zelda. Yes, that’s a whole load of crock. The reason that Nintendo did sue was that SG is like Playboy. Except with well how shall we say. Women that are rather gothic in their leanings. And they’re naked. But I think I mentioned that part already.
I thought this was a bone head move. But they just released a letter apologizing, and offering SG and the member in question a free game system and a game of their choice. They explain that they only wished to protect their younger customers from viewing adult content on the internet. I figure some nug at Nintedo was googling Zelda, and Metroid saw a SG site, saw naked (gasp!) women on it and sent it off to the legal department. The legal department, ever looking to justify what the company pays them files suit.
At least everyone is happy now.
I’m not, because I’m not the one thats getting a free Nintendo system and a game.
I sure would like a Nintendo DS, though.

uhh…I don’t see what the big deal is… naked women play Nintendo too.
